Tobias is Sustain’s Managing Director. He continually works to secure Sustain’s position as experts among key industry clients in the energy and carbon management sector, having guided the company since 2008 through changing social, economic, political and technological landscapes.
Having studied Geological Sciences at undergraduate level, Tobias gained wide international experience in Asia across a number of sectors including working as a journalist and editor, and consulting with blue chip companies and start-ups through the online revolution. He then made a conscious decision in 2001 to enter the then-developing sustainable energy sector, where he has remained, gaining an MSc with Distinction in Environmental Sciences Policy & Planning from The University of Bath, and an Executive MBA from Imperial College along the way.
Among Tobias’ proudest moments whilst at Sustain are having an innovative project quoted in the New Scientist Magazine, and working with London Underground to reduce the carbon footprint of their stations under large-scale redevelopment. He remains excited by the energy revolution, driven by the urgent need to apply the best of human ingenuity and collaboration to overcome the threat of climate change.
Over the past few years, Tobias has been cultivating something of an obsession with cycling and hopes to, one day, unleash ‘Team Parker’ upon the world. Recently, he has led the Sustain team at the inaugural Bristol Cycling Grand Prix and captained a small-but-sweet victory in the Collier’s ‘Tryathalon’ too!
