Organisations are under increasing pressure to reduce their
impact on the environment around them.
Quantifying, understanding and reducing environmental impacts
requires a range of activities which should be planned and
integrated with wider corporate objectives. This requires a
strategy linked to an action plan and driven by a clear
policy.
This is the core objective of Sustain's strategy and policy
function. We begin by analysing an organisations impacts - modeling
their energy and carbon emissions for example and then develop
recommendations and an action plan which embrace both the
technical, behavioural and managerial measures required.
We are experienced in the latest energy and environmental
assessment techniques for non-domestic buildings and housing. We
have also worked with many clients on a bespoke basis to conduct
research into a wide range of aspects of sustainability including
attitudinal and behavioural studies, carbon management strategy,
energy and carbon modeling and mapping, government policy analysis
and private sector market evaluation.
We are also trained in implementation of Environmental Management
Systems to meet the 14001 standard and have worked with public
and private sector clients to deliver all or parts of an
appropriate EMS.
We have also delivered energy, carbon and
general environmental training to our clients
