Sustain can produce detailed thermal comfort and daylighting
reports using dynamic thermal modelling software. This process
involves constructing a computer model of the building from
architect's drawings, resulting in a 3D representation.
Once the geometry of the building has been entered, heat loss and
daylight levels for each room and for the building as a whole can
be analysed.
BREEAM credit HEA 1 - Daylighting
Dynamic thermal modelling software provides a quick and accurate
way of assessing the daylight levels in each area of a building.
This evidence is required to show compliance with BREEAM Credit
HEA1. Sustain can carry out detailed daylighting analysis and
provide a report to show achievement of the BREEAM
requirements.
BREEAM credit HEA 10 - Thermal Comfort
Dynamic thermal modelling is required to achieve BREEAM credit HEA 10, to show that appropriate thermal comfort levels are achieved. This is an important credit and can be necessary to achieve the higher BREEAM ratings. Sustain can carry out the analysis required to achieve this credit, and provide a report to show achievement of the BREEAM requirements.
