Sustain has expertise in assessing the potential for CHP systems
through to detailed design, installation and commissing. These
systems are typically built around a 15 kWe/29kWth gas or biogas
system together with integral controls, thermal storage and the
facility for remote monitoring. We can also supply diesel powered
units of similar capacity.
These systems are ideal for sheltered housing when an existing
communal heating system is being replaced, or in a new
residential/mixed-use developments and can bring multiple benefits
through reduced fuel bills and carbon emissions.
The units provide a measure of future proofing by allowing a switch
to cleaner sources of fuel, such as biomass and fuel cell
technologies as they become available.
