CDP annual return

The CDP annual return consist of a questionnaire structured around 5 main categories:

  • Carbon governance - Highest level or responsibility for climate change within the company, overall management
  • Risks and opportunities - Process to identify risks / opportunities, regulatory risks / opportunities, physical risks / opportunities
  • Strategy - Link with strategy and risks / opportunities, reduction targets, specific actions taken and forecasted impact, engagement with policy makers etc.
  • GHG emissions accounting
    • Boundaries, methodology, emission factors and GWP used
    • Emissions sources, fuel use, scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions, total absolute and relative
    • Financial result - for example turnover
    • Data accuracy and estimation proportion of total - for all Scope
    • External verification level
    • Offsetting
    • Historical emissions
  • External communication of the carbon footprint
