Start date: 18 May 2010
End date: 19 May 2010
Location: CBI Conference Centre, London
Jean-Yves Cherruault, Sustain's environmental accounting manager, has been selected to speak at the British Standards Institution's (BSI) Carbon Neutrality conference in central London. The conference will focus on the new industry standard for carbon footprinting PAS 2060.
Jean-Yves will present a case study on how the Sustain team
helped Allied Bakeries plans to reduce its carbon footprint at the
event.
As part of our partnership with the Carbon Trust, we calculated
the carbon footprint of three Kingsmill products - Great Everyday
White, Great Everyday Tasty Wholemeal and 50:50. Carbon 'hotspots'
were identified throughout the lifecycle of each loaf and the
results have informed the company's future carbon reduction
plans.
Jean-Yves said: "I'm delighted to be presenting at the BSI Carbon Neutrality Conference as I hope Sustain's work with Allied Bakeries will encourage other organisations to take steps towards carbon neutrality."
