Matt Fulford has joined carbon reduction company Sustain as head of buildings.
He joins from consultancy EC Harris where he headed up sustainability, advising clients on their sustainability strategies.
At Sustain, Matt will be managing a 10 strong team that works with the building industry to deliver carbon savings in both new and existing buildings.
Clients include developers, architects and estate or facilities managers.
Matt said: "Cutting carbon has to be about more than a tick in the box. A successful carbon reduction strategy has to deliver real value in terms of cost, reputation and the environment and Sustain has a crucial role in helping organisations achieve that.
"I look forward to devising solutions that help clients manage their costs and carbon emissions from buildings in a way that delivers them real value."
Matt also has specialist experience in heritage and listed buildings. He has led a project to create the first zero carbon Grade 1 listed building in the UK - a church in Withington, Gloucestershire.
