Environment Agency launches new Carbon Calculator for the construction industry

Despite the fact that the majority of firms know carbon reduction helps cut costs, the construction industry still accounts for 47% of total carbon emissions of the UK. To help companies make significant carbon and cost savings, the Environment Agency has launched a second generation Construction Carbon Calculator which is available free.

Global standard for carbon accounting and reporting

With the launch of the GHG Protocol standards for Corporate supply chain (Scope 3) and product Life Cycle standards, there is now an harmonised and consistent approach providing a robust global foundation for carbon accounting and reporting which will allow businesses to hold to a clear path of measurement, reduction and reporting.
