October 2006: Sustainable Building Center set to revolutionise construction industry.
Wolseley, who Sustain have been working with since 2004, have had final approval from Wolseley Plc to build the Sustainable Building Center, and it is due to be operational by the end of 2007.
The construction sector is responsible for a significant impact on the environment, and Wolseley, as a distributing company in this sector felt they could play an important role in reducing this impact. With this in mind, the Sustainable Building Center was developed with the aim of showcasing new sustainable construction products. The building itself is to incorporate the latest in cutting edge and sustainable products, available to the industry.
Acting as sustainability consultants, Sustain project managed the feasibility of the building and the design specification of the project.
